Fintech South 2021: Raising the Bar

Moving into 2021, all of us were hopeful to put the pandemic behind us and return to in-person gatherings. When it became clear that we were not yet out of the woods, the new challenge was how to bring renewed energy to virtual experiences. Indeed, “Zoom fatigue” is real!

Fintech South 2021 truly raised the bar, bringing our virtual event experience to new levels. From June 22-24, 2021, we introduced new interactive session formats and networking experiences, along with video shot on location at everywhere from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta to the PayPal Park soccer stadium in San Jose.

See the recap here. Some of the highlights included:

More dedicated time for 1:1 networking: A full hour on each day of the event for attendees to schedule 15-minute meetings on our AI-powered platform – up to 12 curated meetings in 3 days.

Atlanta’s stage becomes the World Stage: partners from around the globe in a full day of content featuring the best of fintech from EMEA, the Americas and APAC.

Live music performances from up-and-coming Georgia artists at City Winery in Ponce City Market.

Featured conversation with Chris “Ludacris Bridges” and Roadie founder and CEO Marc Gorlin.

It’s been a remarkable journey serving as Executive Director for the Fintech South event.

In 2018 and 2019, we brought the event to new scale and national awareness with successful in-person conferences at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

In 2020 and 2021, we turned the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic into an opportunity to expand Fintech South’s reach on a global scale with world-class virtual events.

As I move on to other projects, I wish my friends in the Fintech Society at the The Technology Association of Georgia the best of luck in 2022 and beyond!
